Free Soybutter Sample

By Bebe · Comments (0)

I remember that, as a kid, I would take my lunch to school.  I loved to eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches.  Given the choice, I would have eaten them every day.  Unfortunately, that was not a choice I was allowed to make, so I relished the days I opened my lunch sack to find the delictable sandwich sitting there.

It did not even cross my mind until talking to my neighbor (who has a 7 year old in school), that many schools do not allow peanut butter!  Because of severe peanut allergies, many districts have implemented a policy that excludes peanut butter from school lunches.  I understand the rationale, but do feel bad that kids can’t take this lunch staple.

That was, until I found this: Soybutter.  No, really.  Created to be a peanut butter substitute, soybutter, CAN be safely taken in to schools.  The website even provides forms that can be given to the school providing information on the product and why it is safe.  Check out the website at SoyButter.com.

Not quite sold on the product?  Get a free sample of soybutter to test it out!  You do have to pay $1.87 for the shipping costs (there is a breakdown on the website of what the $1.87 covers), but I think that is a relatively low cost to test out this product.

Happy eating!

I had never even heard of, nor seen, a Publix until I went down to Tennessee for the first time with my husband.  They just are not out here in Colorado.  The more I have been out in the blogosphere, I have seen the name mentioned time and time again.  It looks like they have some great deals!  If you are in need of some information on how to save at Publix, I recommend doing a Google search for “Save at Publix blogs” and you will find a great selection of people willing to coach you on how to save.

Also, if you live in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas or Tennessee, you can sign up for the Publix Baby Club.  This is an awesome deal in which you will receive free money-saving coupons for items like Huggies Lotion, Purel Hand Sanitizer (I have used this stuff like crazy this season!), and NUK pacifiers.  Plus, until your child’s second birthday you will receive a special newsletter with MORE coupons and valuable free advice.

I think that the most impressive part is the free book for first-time parents from the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The book, entitled “Caring For Your Baby and Young Child”, provides medical and child-rearing advice for first-time parents.  Let’s be honest:  Who couldn’t use a little bit of advice from time to time.  Children may not come with a manual at birth, but this book is the next best thing!  The book, which is valued at $20(!), helps guide you until your child is 5 years old.  That is a lot of valuable advice.  And, you get it for FREE.  Awesome deal!

Click here to sign up today and starting saving at Publix!

I don’t think that I can adequately describe my love for the pumpkin scone at Starbucks.  I believe it borders on obsession and, were it not for a strict “coffee shop” budget in Mint.com and a not-as-strict self-impossed diet, I would probably eat one for every meal.  You can find them most times during the year, though Starbucks seems to have pulled them during the summer season, which is probably good for my waistline.

Tomorrow, March 23, is Free Pastry Day at Starbucks!  This definitely helps my coffee budget, which I am in danger of going over this month.  Go to Starbucks.com, print the free coupon, and go to a Starbucks tomorrow.  You do have to buy a beverage in order to receive the free pastry, but if you were going anyway, this is a pretty good deal.  And, you must go in before 10:30!!

I guess I will just have to run a little more today to make up for tomorrow’s pumpkin scone.  And, honey, if you are reading this, pay no attention! :)

Cheers!

Let’s be honest:  We want to feed our kids the best stuff out there.  While we may be willing to put a Twinkie in our own bodies, we certainly don’t want to feed our children a food that could survive a nuclear holocaust.  I really need to take a lesson from myself and what I feed my son.

I found TastyBaby food at my local Target, in the frozen section, and my son loves it!  It is probably some of the more flavorful baby food I have tasted (come on, you know you taste the baby food too!)  And, yes, it’s organic!

You could enter to win $200 worth of TastyBaby Organic baby food.  This is a great baby freebie!  The contest is sponsored by StrollerTraffic.com.  Simply become a fan of StrollerTraffic.com on Facebook,  get three of your friends to become a fan as well, then email them and you are entered to win!  You could win 18 frozen meals, one case of organic infant cereal, and a case of organic fruit snacks.  Great prize!

Click here to enter!  Good luck!

Cheers!

These first few weeks at Bebe’s Freebies have been a period of trial and error, trying to find just the right information to send out to you, my loyal readers.  The world of freebies is vast and infinite, which makes keeping up with everything out there an insurmountable task.  After much consideration, I have decided to reign in the focus of Bebe’s Freebies to promote Baby Freebies.  Many of the free samples, free coupons, and information I have found tend to be of a “baby” nature, and it is something I am passionate about right now, given my current circumstances (meaning I have a munchkin at home.)

This change will occur over the next few days, so check out the awesome new baby items as they are posted.

I hope that this transformation is a positive one for everyone.  I will put up the occasional non-baby freebie as we have to take care of mom too!  But the focus will definitely be in the realm of baby, which is a great place to be!

Cheers!

Olay Quench Body LotionIt has been FREEZING (actually, below) here in Colorado this week.  I was excited to see my car thermometer reach freezing today when I was out and about saving at Kohls.

I just have to share my deal today because maybe someone will be impressed.  I got a shirt for myself and one for my husband.  Full price they would have been $52 for the two.  I found them on the sale rack and then applied the $10 off card I got in the mail, so I paid a total of $2.56!  YAY!  I love a great deal.

Then, to top off my day, I came home to a great offer in my email box.  Olay is promoting an awesome free beauty sample.  Receive a free Olay Quench Body Lotion.  Here’s the deal:  Go to the store, buy a bottle of Olay Quench Body Lotion (not the trial size), print out this rebate form and they will reimburse you for the sale.  Click here to get the rebate form: rebate form.

The product claims to be able to nourish and strengthen against every day drying conditions (like living in Colorado, I suppose), so I will definitely be giving this a try.

Cheers!

Grandma Els Free SampleAt what point is it considered sharing “too much” information?  I’m sure that my son will argue when he is older that his sensitive skin, juice allergies, and general happenings are probably too much information for the general public.  He will really think that when I share this information (and the pictures and videos) with his girlfriend.  I’m not going to do it to be mean – as far as I can tell, that’s just what parents do.

Admittedly, this is the reason that I never brought any guys home, though I really had nothing to worry about.  At 16 I thought, as most do, that my family was the most embarrassing on the planet, so keeping any people of interest far away from the house seemed like a good idea.  In fact, I didn’t bring someone to my parent’s house until I was out of college, when you realize that all families have their quirks.  And, guess what, no embarrassing pictures were shown.

Unfortunately for my son, today’s post is about diaper rash – again.  Yes, I have already written about it once, but I found a new product that I tried and want to recommend because I think it is great!  Plus, there is free baby stuff to point out.

Grandma El’s Diaper Rash Remedy comes highly recommended by me – and I know that means a lot.  It is hypo-allergenic (always a plus) and it doesn’t create that white, creamy mess that a lot of them do.  Sometimes I feel like I am plastering my son with some of the other products.

Typically, you can find free baby samples here.  But they are currently out, so keep checking back.  You only get a free sample if you a new user and registrant to the site.

There is a free holiday offer.  You can get a 2 oz. tube of the Diaper Remedy & Prevention Healing Ointment for free.  That’s a $9.99 value.  You do have to pay the shipping, which is $5.99, so, granted it isn’t 100 percent free, but if you were to buy it the cost would be $9.99 plus the $5.99 shipping.  I think that this is a great value for the product and highly recommend this free baby sample.

Hope that you are staying warm today – it’s freezing here in Denver!  Correction: We wish it were at freezing here in Denver – it’s just 7 degrees right now.

Cheers!

I’ve never been one to run out and buy the latest fashion trends or hottest handbags.  And, as of late, unless I can find it at my nearest Target or Kohl’s, I probably won’t be buying it.  It’s not that I don’t love the newest items (well, sometimes I do, but this “Bringing the 80s Back” trend has got to go!) but I usually don’t a) have the time to go try new things on, b) have the money to afford a $600 purse, and c) like my weight enough to invest in nice outfits until I get some more of this baby weight off.

I have discovered one way to score the newest, hottest items of the season – enter to win at a magazine’s website.  The magazines have their hand on the pulse of what is hot, and they always have giveaways.  During this Christmas season many of the magazines are giving away a different prize every day. Not all of them are giving away fashion-related items.  You can also get gift cards, electronics, and awesome trips!  Below is your quick and handy list of sweepstakes.

Hottest Prizes Right Now:

  • A Year of FREE GROCERIES (worth $12,500) from Cooking Light
  • HP Computer from Rachel Ray Magazine
  • Makeup Trunk from Motives by Loren Ridinger from Rachel Ray Magazine
  • Hotel Package for 2 at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui from Rachel Ray Magazine
  • $100 Gift Card from SpaFinder.com from Cosmo
  • Shopping Spree with Stylist and Canon PowerShot Camera from Glamour
  • Classic Mary Jane Chadwick’s Heels (So cute!) from Lucky
  • Tory Burch Boots from Lucky
  • $1500 Ann Taylor Wardrobe from Elle

Magazine Sweepstakes Pages:

Here are my magazines “sweepstaking” tips:

1.  If you don’t really want it, don’t enter.  No sense in paying taxes on something you don’t really care about.

2.  If you do happen to win something you want, consider gifting it to a friend, giving it away, or see what you can fetch on eBay.

3.  Check back often!  They put up new sweepstakes frequently.  And, particularly, check back at the beginning of the month when the newest issues arrives in homes.

4.  Check BebesFreebies.com!  I’m scouring magazines and looking for the best content and giveaways!

Cheers!

Aveeno LogoI am on the prowl for infant pear juice that does not have ascorbic acid or any added apple juice.  The second food my son ever ate was jarred applesauce.  It was just apples and ascorbic acid, and he broke out in a terrible rash (You can kind of tell by the pictures.)  The doctor told us to stay away from both.  This means he can’t have any jarred baby fruit, which isn’t really a big deal because I make his food anyway.  But I am having a terrible time finding juice.

It isn’t that he really needs the juice, but he won’t drink water so I think that this will help him stay hydrated.  If you have any suggestions for good juices, leave a comment below!

Allergies run rampant in my family.  I, myself, am generating a long list of allergies: certain detergents, shellfish, walnuts, my husband, to name a few.  OK, so maybe not the last one, but I wasn’t kidding out the others.  I have always had very sensitive eyes and skin too, so that’s why the only lotions I use on myself and my son are from Aveeno.  That’s why I am so excited about today’s free beauty sample…

If you HURRY, you could get a free Aveeno Tote Bag that is valued at $8!  This is courtesy Martha Stewart Living and Aveeno.  It takes about 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, but I promise that it will be totally worth the wait.  I would imagine this sample will go quickly, so head over there now to sign up.

Cheers!
